Annapurna base camp trek

Annapurna base camp trek is a ten-day moderate trip to catch the massif views of Annapurna (8091 m), Fishtail, Gangapurna, Hiunchuli, and Annapurna South. The hiking starts at Nayapul (1070 m) and passes through Ghorepani, Poon Hill, Tadapani, Chomrong (2070 m), Sinuwa, Dovan, Deorali, MBC, and ABC. The Gurung Village, Chomrong is the gateway to ABC. It called Annapurna Sanctuary trek which has developed by ACAP since 1986. Trekkers will discover a Gurung and Magar culture, dress, cuisine, custom, and their language.

Annapurna base camp trek is an opportunity exploring diverse and dramatic landscapes, including lowland terraced fields to glaciated camp. The spectacular views of the snow-capped mountain can glimpse every camp with fresh air and tranquility. A hot spring pool at the Modi Khola Bank nearby Jhinu Danda offers to bathe. Walking trail designed inside a forest of the Himalayan bamboo, rhododendron and oak tree. Local people knit a basket, tumpline and buffalo shed from the bamboo. Bamboo shoots used to pickle and vegetable curry. Rhododendron and orchid flowers bloom in spring. Poon Hill to Annapurna Base Camp is worth journey. September to November lodge will be full after Sinuwa village.

Annapurna base camp trekking offers some of the best mountain views in the base camp (4130m). The stunning views of the ten highest Annapurna I (8091 m), Annapurna South (7219 m), Hiuchuli (6441 m), Fishtail (6993 m, a holy mountain after 17 February 1964), Singha Chuli (6501 m), Tent Peak (5663 m), Gangapurna (7455 m) and Annapurna Fang (7647 m) is exquisite. Day 01: Tour to Hille (1500 m) – 4/5 hours

Day 02: Hike to Ghorepani (2750 m) – 6/7 hours

Day 03: Poon Hill view and trek to Tadapani – 6/7 hours

Day 04: Trek to Chhomrong (2050 m) – 5/6 hours

Day 05: Hike to Dovan (2605 m) – 5/6 hours

Day 06: Hike to Deurali (3300 m) – 5/6 hours

Day 07: Walk to ABC (4130 m) – 5/6 hours

Day 08: Trek to Dovan (2605 m) – 5/6 hours

Day 09: Hike to Jhinu Danda (1725 m) – 6/7 hours

Day 10: Trek to Pokhara (830 m) – 6/7 hours

Day 01: Tour to Hille (1500 m) – 4/5 hours
Take a taxi (44 km) to Nayapul takes 1:20 hours with a view of Naudanda (1440 m) Annapurna ranges, Phewa Lake, and villages. Nayapul begins hiking, after 30 minutes, check trek permit at Birethanti (1030 m). The view of Mt Fishtail (6993 m) is nice. Take the left trail to Hille. It takes 2:30 hour to reach Hille with seven lodges and electricity.

Day 02: Hike to Ghorepani (2750 m) – 6/7 hours
Today the hiking goes through the Ulleri Village (2070 m) with a4000 stone steps in 2:00 hours. Enjoy the views of Bhurungdi Khola, Annapurna South (7219 m), Fishtail, and Hiuchuli (6441 m). Hiking continues through the Banthanti (2307 m), Nayathanti (2606 m) to Ghorepani (horse water) in 4: 00 hours.

Day 03: Poon Hill view and trek to Tadapani – 6/7 hours
Hike to Poon Hill in the morning takes 45 minutes. Enjoy the sunrise view over the snow-capped mountains, such as Dhaulagiri (8167 m), Tukuche Peak, Dhampus Peak, Nilgiri south, 12 peaks, Annapurna Fang, Hiuchuli, Fishtail and Manaslu (8163 m) from the Poon Hill Tower. Return to the Lodge and hike to Tadapani through Deurali, and Banthanti that takes 5 hours.

Day 04: Trek to Chhomrong (2050 m) – 5/6 hours
Hike to Kyumnu Khola through Chuile Village and 55 minutes through a rhododendron and oak forest in 1:35 hours. Cross a bridge and hike to Chomrong via Gurjung Village in 2:20 hours. Enjoy the views of Annapurna South, Hiuchuli, Annapurna III and Fishtail, Modi Khola and Landruk Village. There are 14 hotels with electricity.

Day 05: Hike to Dovan (2605 m) – 5/6 hours
Hike to Sinuwa (2324 m) through Chomrong Khola in two hours. The walk continues from the lush forest, Kuldhighar (2498 m) to Bamboo (2340 m) in 1:45 hours. Hike to Dovan in the 1:10 hour uphill through forest trails.

Day 06: Hike to Deurali (3300 m) – 5/6 hours
Hike through a forest along the Modi Khola Valley to reach Himalaya (2880 m) in 2:25 hours. The walk continues to Deurali (3300m) through Hinku Cave (3139 m) with a waterfall view in 1:20 hours.

Day 07: Walk to ABC (4130 m) – 5/6 hours
The hiking from Deurali to ABC is uphill. Hike to Machapuchare Base Camp in 1:40 hours. Hike to ABC from MBC in 2 hours. The views of Annapurna I (8091 m), Annapurna South (7219 m), Hiuchuli (6441 m), Fishtail (6993 m), Singu Chuli (6501 m) Tent peak (5663 m), Gangapurna (7455 m) and Annapurna Fang (7647 m) are interesting at the time of sunrise in the base camp (4130 m).

Day 08: Trek to Dovan (2605 m) – 5/6 hours
Enjoy sunrise view over the snow-capped mountains in the morning. After breakfast, climb down to MBC (1 hour) Deurali (1:20 hours), Himalaya Hotel and Dovan (2:30 hours) in 6 hours.

Day 09: Hike to Jhinu Danda (1725 m) – 6/7 hours
Hike to Bamboo (1 hour), Khuldighar, and Sinuwa in 2 hours. Descend to Chomrong Khola and climb up to the Chomrong village in 2: 10 hours. Climbing continues downhill to Jhinu Danda in one hour. Enjoy the hot spring 25 minutes downhill to Modi Khola.

Day 10: Trek to Pokhara (830 m) – 6/7 hours
Hike to New Bridge in one hour. Walk along the bank of the Modi Khola to reach Sauli Bazar in 2:30 hours. Hike to Birethanti and Nayapul in 2 hours. Take a taxi to Pokhara for 1:20 hours.
