Bardia jungle safari is an adventure trip in the southwestern Nepal in the Bardia, Banke and Surkhet district (cover the seventeen VDC) that is situated 152 m to 1441m above the sea. The Bardia National Park covers an area of 968 sq. km. with a Buffer Zone (328 sq. km.) that established in 1988. It is bordered by Karnali River in the west, the Churia range in the north and the Babai River flows right through the park. To approach the park drive the 522 km from Kathmandu to Nepalgunj and 3 hours drive the 95 km to the park or take 50 minutes Kathmandu-Nepalgunj flight and drive the 3 hours jeep.
Bardia jungle safari is interesting to explore the 400 species of birds, including herons, geese, ducks, storks, parakeets, peacocks, Sarus crane, Bengal florican and silver-eared mesia. The 53 species of mammals such as wild elephant, swamp deer, black buck, Royal Bengal Tiger, sloth bear, leopard, blue bull, one-horned rhinoceros, langur and rhesus monkey, gharial and marsh mugger crocodile, and Gangetic Dolphin, snakes, fish includes large Mahseer in the Karnali River. The tropical and subtropical dense forest consists the 70% sal tree; savannah tree, grasslands, riverine tree and wetland are the habitats the mentioned flora and flora.
