Buddhist pilgrimage tour is a famous trip to the pilgrims once in their life to visit the birthplace of Gautama Buddha, meditation place of Padmasamvaba and ancient monuments with the civilized centers in Kathmandu and Lumbini that are UNESCO heritage sites in Nepal. The country is the second largest Buddhist follower with an 11% people of the total population with practices of the Tibetan and Nepalese Buddhism. Visit the monastery and Stupa with the incarnation lamas, monks and nuns are interesting here.

Buddhist pilgrimage tour offers to explore the painting in a monastery. Day 01: Arrival in Kathmandu Airport (1337 m)

Day 01: Arrival in Kathmandu Airport (1337 m)
When the flight arrives at the Tribhuvan International Airport, take a 6 km drive with our guide, takes 25 minutes to reach the hotel. Check in hotel and guide will brief the programs. Stay overnight at hotel with breakfast in Kathmandu.

Day 02: Swayambunath, Boudhanath and Patan tour in Kathmandu
The Swayambhunath is renowned Buddhist Stupa (1st century) situated on top of the green hill with the views of Kathmandu and Himalaya. An activity of the Assamese monkey and pilgrim’s are interesting. Boudhanath (5th century) is the second largest stupa with the Tibetan settlement, monastery and handicraft shops around there. Patan (3rd century) is the oldest city with the Ashokan Stupa (249 BC), palace square, 5-roof Shiva temple, golden temple and the erotic temple. Drive back to the hotel. Stay overnight at hotel in Kathmandu.

Day 03: Pharping and Namo Buddha tour in Kathmandu
Pharping is a town that is some 20 km south of the Kathmandu. The two caves meditated by the Padmasamvaba, some monasteries with the self originated statues of the Saraswati and Ganesh on a rock in the temple and the handprint of Guru Rempoche, the Bajra Yogini temple (17th century). Drive to Namo Buddha some 50 km road to the east. According to the legend in a previous life the Buddha was a prince of Sankhu, he met a starving tigress with her cubs in a jungle during the day, then, he fed them with his body flesh to save their life. The five cubs with a tigress are there. The Himalaya view is great here. Drive back to the hotel. Stay overnight at hotel with breakfast in Kathmandu.

Day 04: Drive to Lumbini
Lumbini is the birthplace of Gautama Buddha that is about 302 km southwest of the Kathmandu. The car takes minimum 8 hours drive to get. The landscapes with river valley of Trishuli and Narayani then thorough, plain land of Nepal with highway town, villages, Himalayan views are interesting. Stay overnight at hotel with breakfast in Lumbini.

Day 05: Lumbini Garden and Tilaurakot tour in Lumbini
Lord Buddha was born in 623 BC in Lumbini. Visit the Ashokan Pillar is an evidence of the birthplace of Prince Siddhartha, Gautama, the holy pond, Mayadevi temple, world peace lamp, monastic zone and library. Drive to Tilaurakot that is 27 km takes one hour. Here was a palace of King Suddhodhana (father of the Buddha) where Prince Siddhartha spent his first 29 year with his wife and family. The remains of the palace, gate and the museum are interesting. Drive back to Lumbini. Stay overnight at hotel with breakfast in Lumbini.

Day 06: Drive to Kathmandu
Kathmandu located 302 km northeast of the Lumbini. Car takes minimum 8 hours with the view of highway towns, village, Himalaya and the river valley Trisuli and Narayani. Join the farewell dinner with cultural show at a restaurant in the evening. Stay overnight at hotel with breakfast in Kathmandu.

Day 07: Departure to Tribhuvan International Airport
