Changu Narayan Nagarkot hiking located 25 km to the northeast of Kathmandu that starts after 45-minutes car ride from Thamel. This is 3:30 hour’s excursion to Nagarkot (1920 m). The starting point is Changu Narayan at 1540 m above the sea with the view of Himalayas and valleys. The temple enlisted world heritage site in 1979 by UNESCO. Changu Narayan Nagarkot hiking is a short day trip through a typical village with ascends and descends. The 500-meter climbs in 3:30 hours along the pine forest and terraced field with the views of Bhaktapur, green hill, and snow-capped mountain. One hour 15 minutes later, you will reach the Telkot then climb uphill with stone steps until a village temple. The walk continues to an uphill trail to the Nagarkot. Enjoy fresh air and quietness.
