Dhampus Sarangkot trek

Dhampus Sarangkot trek is three days soft journey begins at Phedi (1080 m) after 30-minute car journey from the center of Pokhara. The hiking trail from Phedi (1080 m) ends north bank of the Phewa Lake across the Dhampus and Sarangkot village. The hiking area is peaceful and stunning, including the world-famous Gurkha village, though few tourists visit annually. The beauty of the Mt. Fishtail (6993 m), Mt. Dhaulagiri (8167 m), Mt. Annapurna I (8091 m), Mt. Lamjung Himal and Mt. Manaslu (8163 m) at ancient fort, Sarangkot, Naudanda, and Dhampus village are quite beautiful. Trekking permit and TIMS card do not require. The most popular, Gurung, Thakali and Brahmin people live along the trekking route. Well-known snow-clad mountains change the sceneries in the morning and evening.

Dhampus Sarangkot trek, located north of the Pokhara Valley that offers at least each day sightseeing in Kathmandu and Pokhara. The highway town Phedi offers 2:30 hours hiking to reach Dhampus village. The next day's 3-hour hiking approaches at Naudanda, scenarios are beautiful with gorgeous views of Pokhara valley and Annapurna Himalayas. You should walk 3 hours more to reach Sarangkot on easy trails. Sarangkot offers tremendous first light view over the Himalayan range early in the morning. End of the journey, after breakfast, descend into the north bank of the Phewa Lake in 2:30 hours with beautiful scenery. Either take a 10-minute taxi or walk 30 minutes to your hotel in Pokhara.

Dhampus Sarangkot trek offers to discover a village and city lifestyle, dress, food habit, ornament and terraced fields. One can visit the school, health post and interact with locals. An altitude of 1600 m is not problem for the sea level tourists. A chance of the Himalayan summit's photography is accessible in a little territory of Annapurna Region. There is an adequate tea house for the good night's rest; however, camping trek will be even more interesting. Rhododendron blossoms in spring that changes a green forest in red. Day 01: Pokhara to Dhampus (1650 m) – 3/4 hours

Day 02: Dhampus to Sarangkot (1592 m) – 6/7 hours

Day 03: Sarangkot to Pokhara (830 m) – 2:30/3 hours

Day 01: Pokhara to Dhampus (1650 m) – 3/4 hours
Take hot breakfast in Pokhara then ride 30 minutes auto to Phedi (1080 m). Climb tough through a little timberland, then walk proceeds with tough through terraced fields. Appreciate thruway and town sees in an approach to Dhampus. It is a Gurung town with few hotels, school and terrific Mountain sees. Remain overnight here at hotel.

Day 02: Dhampus to Sarangkot (1592 m) – 6/7 hours
Descend to stone strides. Walk proceeds with downhill through towns with terraced fields. Cross a little stream and move to the Naudanda. Here are decent perspectives of Annapurna range and Pokhara valley. Walk proceeds with street with excellent towns to achieve Sarangkot. Here are nine inns and power. Sarangkot is an old stronghold where is extraordinary, perspectives of Dhaulagiri in the west to Manaslu toward the east. Paragliding and View of Pokhara city, Phewa Lake, Seti River, World Peace Pagoda are wonderful from a tower. Pay couple of rupees to go tower. Remain overnight at cabin.

Day 03: Sarangkot to Pokhara (830 m) – 2:30/3 hours
Climb steeply downhill through a town of the slope to Phewa Lake. Paragliding place (1450 m) meets 20 minutes down. Perspectives of terraced fields, Phewa Lake, towns and beautiful Paragliding over the sky are decent. Proceed with downhill to street north of Phewa Lake in 2:10 hours. Take a maneuver to lakeside, which is 2:5 km far. Remain overnight at lodging in Pokhara.
