Everest Trekking

Everest trekking is an adventure journey into the base camps of the world highest mountain. A strenuous grade hiking begins after 30 minutes flight (Kathmandu-Lukla) at Lukla, 8 hours bus tour (Kathmandu-Jiri bus) at Jiri, and after the 25-minute flight (Kathmandu-Phaplu) at Phaplu. The Everest region has five different short and long treks, including an  Everest Base Camp Trek, Short Everest Base Camp Trek, Everest high pass trek, Gokyo Lake trekking and Everest view Trek. The hiking is across through the Dudh Kosi River Valley, a village of Sherpa, Rai, Thami, and Jirel with the natural world heritage site of the UNESCO ‘Sagarmatha National Park’. The park has preserved the top of the world Mt. Everest. Annually, 20 climbing groups use the hiking route. A teahouse and camping style of the trek with a normal to luxuries hotel and lodges are along the trail.

Everest trekking ranked the second most popular destination in Nepal with its 40000 trekkers annually. A traveler may explore a yak, yeti, snow leopard and the highest climbing mountains, including Mt. Everest (8848m), Lhotse (8516m), Nuptse (7879m), Cho Oyu (8201m), Pumori (7145m), Ama Dablam (6856m), Thamserku (6608m), Kusum Kanguru (6367m), Island Peak (6187m) and Mera peak (6654m). You can follow each step of Sir Edmund Hillary and Tenzing Norgay who climbed the highest summit in 1953, afterward, the Everest region became popular on world news. Local people speak Tibeto-Burmese language who celebrates the mountain festivals, such as Dumje, Mani Rimdu, and Losar. The highest airport, Syangboche Airport (3720m), Khumjung Monastery (with a skull of yeti) and the Sherpa villages include Pangboche, Dingboche, Lobuche and Gorakshep are located above 4000 meters. A flora and fauna, such as pine, hemlock, juniper, birch, rhododendron, goral, snow leopard, Himalayan tahr, and musk deer are in the alpine area. September to November and March to May is the best season to travel there. Summer temperature remains cool and wet and winter remains cold and dry with snowfall.
