Everest View Trek

Everest View Trek is six days moderate trip to watch the highest summit, which starts and end at Tenzing Hillari Airport, Lukla 2860 m. The hiking goes through UNESCO world heritage site, Sagarmatha National Park along the Dudh Kosi River Valley. The views of Mount Everest (8848 m) can glimpse beyond the Hillary Bridge, Army barrack of Namche Bazaar (3441 m), and Tengboche Village (3860 m). Diverse landscapes with flora, fauna, Sherpa lifestyle, Buddhist culture, language, food habit, dress, mountain festival, and fresh air makes the journey interesting in the Everest Mini Trek.

Everest View Trek suits for short time adventure lovers. The route has suspension bridges, spectacular snow-capped peaks, including Kusum Kanguru (6367 m), Kantega, Thamserku (6608 m), Kwangde, Thame, Amadablam (6856 m), and Taboche. A day acclimatization required in Namche Bazaar, which is useful to visit Sherpa villages (Khunde and Khumjung), altitude clinic, Hillary school, and a monastery with the Yeti's skull. The house pattern, Chortens, prayer flags, prayer wheels, and mysterious monasteries are fascinating. Namche Bazaar held weekly hat market and Tibetan market annually in October. 

Everest View Trek reached up to Tengboche Village (3900 m) with a monastery and the Himalayan panoramic view. The mountain lodges are available along the route. The highest airport, Syangboche Airport (3720 m), Everest View Hotel (3880 m), Namche Bazaar, and Sherpa museum are worth visiting. Day 01: Kathmandu to Lukla Airport (2860 m), Hike to Phakding (2652 m) – 4/5 hours

Day 02: Hike to Namche Bazaar (3441 m) – 5/6 hours

Day 03: Rest Day in Namche Bazaar

Day 04: Trek to Tengboche (3860 m) – 5/6 hours

Day 05: Trek to Jorsalle (2850 m) – 5/6 hours

Day 06: Trek to Lukla (2860 m) – 5/6 hours

Day 07: Fly back to Kathmandu (1350 m) – 30 minutes

Day 01: Kathmandu to Lukla Airport (2860 m), Hike to Phakding (2652 m) – 4/5 hours
Reach airport one hour before the flight. The 30 minutes flight is interesting with a view of Bhaktapur, snow-covered mountain, forest, village, and river valley. Tenzing-Hillary Airport is interesting with a lodge, tea shop, household, and school. Hike to Phakding in 3 hours through Cheplung, Ghat with a view of Dudh Kosi valley and Mt. Kusum Kangaru.

Day 02: Hike to Namche Bazaar (3441 m) – 5/6 hours
The trekking route is interesting with the suspension bridge, Thak Thok, and Banker village with a view of Mt Kusum Kangaru, waterfall, river valley and pine forest. Check your permit at the Sagarmatha National Park. The trail descends to Jorsalle and ascends to the Namche Bazaar via the Hillary Bridge with Mt Everest (8848 m) view. Namche Bazaar filled with a lodge, police check post, army camp, bank, museum, and Monastery.

Day 03: Rest Day in Namche Bazaar
Acclimatize the day visiting Khunde and Khumjung village. Visit the Hillary School, a Monastery with Yeti’s skull and Everest View Hotel with Mt Everest and river valley views. Hike down to Namche Bazaar. Stay overnight in Namche Village.

Day 04: Trek to Tengboche (3860 m) – 5/6 hours
Hike to Pungi Tanga (3250 m) is 2:45-hour with an uphill and downhill tracks. Enjoy the views of River Valley, Everest, and Ama Dablam. Take a lunch, cross a bridge over Dudh Kosi River and hike to Tengboche in 2 hours. Tengboche is a Sherpa village with a Monastery, guesthouse, electricity, and Mt. Everest view.

Day 05: Trek to Jorsalle (2850 m) – 5/6 hours
Enjoy the morning view of Everest. Take a hot breakfast and return to Jorsalle. Descend in the valley floor 1:30 hours. Hike on the uphill trail to Sangnasa. Hike to Namche Bazaar in 2:30 hours. Trek on the downhill trail to Jorsalle in 1: 40 hours. Stay overnight in a lodge.

Day 06: Trek to Lukla (2860 m) – 5/6 hours
Check out the National Park permit. Walk continue through the Monjo, Banker, and Phakding, Ghat, and Cheplung to reach Lukla. Reconfirm your next morning flight to Kathmandu. Stay overnight at a lodge in Lukla

Day 07: Fly back to Kathmandu (1350 m) – 30 minutes
Eat early morning breakfast, hike to the airport. Fly back to Kathmandu with the views of the mountain, river valley, forest, village, and city. Take a taxi to the hotel in Kathmandu.
