Guerrilla trekking

Guerrilla trekking is 14-day strenuous camping trip starts after 11 hours bus journey from Kathmandu-Beni that is located in the western Nepal in Myagdi, Rukum and Rolpa districts. The hiking trip is interesting to the historic battlefield of the Nepal Maoist cadres and Nepal Army during the ten-year conflict from 1996 to 2006. American travel writer Mr. Alonzo Lyons and the Chairman of Maoist Party Mr. Prachand have together launched the hiking route on October 2, 2012. The remote area has a beautiful landscape, fresh air and snow-capped Mountain View including Dhaulagiri (8167 m) and Gurja Himal (7193 m). The waterfalls, lake, Dhorpatan hunting reserve, Tibetan and other ethnic group are remarkable in the tour.

Guerrilla trekking is a medium to the hard grade of walking trip with the high pass, Himalaya scenery, and wildlife with plants. Once these districts are said the Maoist capital. Explore the former battlefield and destroyed construction during an emergency in the country. This is a peaceful land after the political change in 2008. The pattern of the houses with the clustered, dispersed and beehive block, food habit, and ethnic dress are notable. The lack of infrastructure and road connection to Kathmandu is due. Agriculture, animal husbandry, and caravan trade are the professions here. Winter will be colder with snowfall.

Guerrilla trekking is interesting with its history, poverty, geography, culture, and tradition with the settlement of ethnic groups. Physical fitness and mental preparation are essential to enjoying the trip. The endangered wildlife such as snow leopard, blue sheep, Himalayan Tahr and numerous birds are recorded in the Dhorpatan Hunting Reserve. The farmers produce potato, buckwheat, and barley in the alpine area. Visit once for the trip experience those contributing to the local economy with a sustainable development.
