Island Peak climb

Island Peak climb is 6187 meters above the sea, located northeastern Himalaya in the Everest Region, nearby Chhukung (4710 m). It is known as Imja Tse. It is an island shape mountain with snow capped on top. The 100-meter ice climb is difficult then, easy climb. It is the 17-day trip. The view from the summit is included Nuptse (7879 m), Lhotse (8501 m) and Lhotse Shar (8383 m) in the north, Makalu (8463 m) in the east, Baruntse and Amadablem in the south.

Island Peak climb is interesting with a trekking trip to Everest Base Camp. The journey starts 30 minutes after the Kathmandu-Lukla flight and hiking through the Namche Bazaar (3441 m), Tengboche (3860 m) and Dingboche (4350 m). Dingboche is a trail junction of the Everest base camp and Island base camp (5240 m). Trekking to Kalapathar (5545 m) is an acclimatization support to body fitness. Walk 2:30 hours from Dingboche to Chhukung (4710 m), 3 hours before the Imja Tse. It is a trekking peak with technically challenging.

Island Peak climb is popular among the climbers. The best time is March to May and October to November.
