Mera Peak Climb

Mera Peak Climb (6454 meters) is an exciting mountain climbing located northeast of Lukla with an 18-day trekking. The journey begins with 30 minutes of Kathmandu-Lukla flight. The views from the summit are spectacular such as Kanchenjunga (8586 m) and Makalu (8463 m) in the east, Everest (8848 m) and Lhotse (8501 m) in the north and Amadablem (6856 m) and Ch Oyu (8201 m) in the west.

Mera Peak Climb offers a tea house trek from Lukla to the Hinku and Hongu Valley. Participants meet the yak pasture, moraines, glacial lakes, and a forest of rhododendron, oak, birch and silver oak. The J.O.M. Robert and Sen Tenzing first climbed the peak on May 20, 1953. The best summit time is April to May and October to November. The base camp is 5300 meters, and the High Camp is 5800 meters above the sea.
