Sirubari village tour

Sirubari village tour is interesting to meet Gurung village at 1680 m located in Panchamul VDC, Syangja district of Western Nepal. There are the 32 Homestay lodges out of 45 households made of steel roof and stone in a terraced field. An ex-Indian army, Captain Rudra Man Gurung, designed the homestay village in 1997. The locals profession is an agriculture, trade and recruiting in the army overseas, such as India, England, and Brunei. We can ride a bus or car from Pokhara to Arjun Chaupari then takes 4 hours hiking to approach the dream village.

Sirubari village tour is remarkable to learn a rural life of the hill tribe Gurung with their unwritten language, ethical dress, ornament, culture, food habit, and festival. You are welcome in the village by a warm hospitality.  You can explore a monastery, mother community they perform a traditional dance in the evening. They wear a typical dress with an ornament. Sirubari village has won the PATA Gold Award in 2001. You can taste a local wine (Narepa) made of millet, and an organic food. You can buy handicrafts for your friend and family.

Sirubari village tour takes to the dramatic Himalayan viewpoint to observe the Dhaulagiri (8167 m), Annapurna (8091 m), Fishtail and Lamjung Himal. You have to climb 2 hours uphill to reach the viewpoint, Gorujure. A farmer plants rice in June and harvest in November. The terraced field is a protection of land erosion during the monsoon season (June to September) in Nepal. Day 09: Departure to Tribhuvan International Airport

Day 01: Arrival in Kathmandu Airport 1337 m
When the flight arrives at Tribhuvan International Airport, take the 6 km car ride with our guide, takes 25 minutes to reach the hotel. Check in hotel and guide will brief the programs. Stay overnight at the hotel with breakfast in Kathmandu.

Day 02: Full day sightseeing in Kathmandu
Tour guide comes at 9 AM with a car to your hotel door. Take a car, guide briefs information about Nepal. The four world heritage sites include Swayambhunath is popular for old Buddhist Stupa, an activity of Assamese monkey and panoramic view of Kathmandu Valley. Kathmandu Durbar Square is popular for old palace squares, museum, Kasthamandap, the Living Goddess Temple, Freak Street and several Hindu Temples. Pashupatinath is famous for cremation in a bank of River Bagmati, Pashupatinath Temple and other Shiva shrines, Hindu holy men (Sadhus) and an activity of the Assamese Monkey, deer in a sub-tropical forest. Boudhanath is popular for second largest stupa in the world, Tibetan refugee settlement, painting school, huge prayer wheels, prayer flags, monastery with the monk, and lamas. Day 03: Kathmandu to Pokhara (827 m) - 7 hours by bus/ Boating in Phewa Lake
Pokhara is 204 km to the west. Take 25-minute flight or 5-hour car or 7 hours bus to reach there. During Kathmandu-Pokhara driving, snow-capped mountains, Trishuli River valley, cable car station, Marsyangdi River valley, highway towns, terraced fields, villages, domestic animal and jungle are interesting. Kathmandu to highway town Malekhu is 72 km. Here you can rest for lunch, toilet and river scene. Malekhu to Pokhara is 132 km. After Tourist Bus Park, take a taxi to lakeside (2 km). Do one-hour boating after hotel check in. Stay overnight at hotel breakfast in Pokhara.

Day 04: Pokhara to Arjun Chaupari drive then hike to Sirubari
Take a hot breakfast and short drive to Arjun Chaupari. Take a 4-hour hike with a view of a village, rice terraced and green hill to reach Sirubari. It is a Gurung village with homestay lodge. They welcome with a drink. The cultural show can observe in the evening. Stay overnight with a full board of meal at homestay lodge in Sirubari.

Day 05: Rest day in Sirubari Village
Take a hot breakfast then join a tour around the village. Take a 2-hour hike to approach the Gorujure with the views of Dhaulagiri (8167 m) and Annapurna (8091 m) ranges. Enjoy the view, then climb back to the village. Enjoy the cultural show after dinner. Stay overnight with a full board of meals at home stay lodge in Sirubari.

Day 06: Sirubari to Pokhara
Take a hot breakfast in the morning. Hike 4 hours to reach the highway. Catch a local bus to Pokhara. Stay overnight at the hotel with breakfast in Pokhara.

Day 07: Sarangkot/Bindya Basini Temple/David Falls/Mountain Museum in Pokhara
Wake up early in the morning, then, drive to Sarangkot for sunrise with the Himalayan views from a hilltop. Drive back to Bindya Basini Temple. The 17th-century temple has daily religious activities of the pilgrim. Visit to the Seti River gorge from a bridge. Drive to David Falls. Drive back to the International Mountain Museum, photography of the highest mountain peaks, library, artificial climbing peak, ethnic people’s museum and slide show with beautiful garden and Mountain View. Stay overnight at the hotel with breakfast in Pokhara.

Day 08: Pokhara to Kathmandu (1350 m) - 7 hours by bus
Kathmandu is 204 km east, where takes 25-minute by flight and 5-hour by car and 7 hours by bus. Landscapes during Kathmandu-Pokhara driving, snow-capped mountains, Trishuli River valley, cable car station, Marsyangdi River valley, highway towns, terraced fields, villages, domestic animals, and jungles is interesting. Pokhara to Mugling is 94 km. Here is one road goes to Chitwan and Lumbini. Kathmandu is 110 km next. After the tourist bus park, take a taxi to the hotel (1 km). Stay overnight at hotel with breakfast in Kathmandu.

Day 09: Departure to Tribhuvan International Airport
Airport is 6 km away, which takes 25 minutes by a car. Get airport 3 hours before the flight departure. Hope you enjoyed Nepal tour and welcome back again with a new program. We wish you safe and happy flight.
