Tourists explore Chomrong, the gateway to ABC, a typical Gurung village with outstanding Annapurna South to Fishtail, Modi river valley with Gurung hospitality, culture, dress, cuisine, language and a seasonal festival.

Annapurna Base Camp Trek is a moderate mountain trip with diverse and dramatic landscape terraced fields to mountain base camps. Annapurna Conservation Area (1992) spreads over 7629 sq km, inhabited by 100,000 different cultural and linguistic groups, which records 1226 species of flowering plants, 105 mammals, 518 birds, 40 reptiles and 23 species of amphibians. Every day hiking offers 5-6 hours with remarkable views of the snow-clad peaks, tranquillity and local interaction. Participants enjoy the hot spring pool at the Modi riverbank in Jhinu Danda.

The village trekking traverses a forest of Himalayan bamboo, rhododendron and oak. Tourists learn bamboo utilising baskets, tumplines, buffalo sheds, pickles and vegetables. The spring will be colourful with different rhododendron orchid flowers. The best trek season is September to November. The guest house remains overfull after the Sinuwa village suggested to reserve your room with a phone call.

Annapurna Base Camp Tour is highly recommended because of the best Himalayas panorama over Hiuchuli (6441 m), Annapurna South (7219 m), Annapurna Fang (7647 m), Mount Annapurna (8091 m), glaciers, Singha Chuli (6501 m), Tent Peak (5663 m), Gangapurna (7455 m), Annapurna III (7555 m), Gandharva Chuli (6248 m), and Fishtail (6993 m). The winter and early spring Bamboo to Machhapuchhare Base Camp (3700 m) trekking route remains at risk. For a safe trip, hire a guide or porter.
