White water rafting

White water rafting is the most popular activity for the thrill seekers lasts a day or two week trip in Nepal. A normal to challenging the five grade rapids are available throughout September to early June. There are numerous Himalaya feed rivers for the adventure journey. An everyday trip is worthy with the dramatic views of the meandering river valleys, forest-clad hills, picturesque villages, and snow-covered mountain. The Bhote Koshi has registered the seventh adventure river in the world.

White water rafting is available in the sixteen rivers in Nepal, including Trishuli, Kali Gandaki, Marsyangdi, Seti, Budi Gandaki, Bhote Koshi, Upper Sun Koshi, Lower Sun Koshi, Tamor, Arun, Dudh Koshi, Balephi, Tama Koshi, Karnali, Seti Karnali, and Bheri. Those rivers gush down from the Mountain (8848 m) and Hill region to the plain land (60 m). The first-grade rivers are Sapta Koshi (Eastern Nepal), Sapta Gandaki (Middle Nepal), and the Karnali (Western Nepal). The second-grade rivers are Bagmati, Kamala, Kankai, and Rapti. The third-grade rivers are Sirsia, Tilawe, and Rato Nadi.  Annually 20000 participants enjoy the river tour in Nepal. Swimming, fishing, and photography are available during the journey. A typical day on rafting offers 3 hours trip with a lunch on a sandy beach. Tents are set up on a riverbank for a long trip.

White water rafting can enjoy from September to early December and March to early June in Nepal. During the monsoon time (June to August), water goes higher beside this water will be smaller in other seasons. Professional rafting guide and optimal management is the must for a safe. Skilled guides with a swift water rescue technician, first aid, and cardiopulmonary resuscitation knowledge are important too. A rafting guide explains the paddling techniques for the participant.
