Manaslu climb is an adventure trip to the eighth highest Mount Manaslu (8163 m) located in the northern Himalaya Region between the Gorkha and Manang district of Nepal. The summit literally translates to a peak of the soul (Manasa and Lu) that lies 64 km east of Mt. Annapurna. The Japanese Expedition was led by 62 years Yuko Maki first climbed the summit on 9 May 1956. You should hike 10 days after the Kathmandu-Arughat bus trip to reach the base camp for an expedition.
Manaslu climb is interesting to explore the first photographed by Tillman and Jimmy Robert in 1950. The survey of the summit was in 1952 by a Japanese expedition. The peak is a part of Greater Himalaya situated in the Gorkha Himal. The Japanese expedition had been an unsuccessful attempt in 1953. There was an avalanche that destroyed a monastery in the Samagaon during their journey. Locals were unhappy and guessed responsibility of the expedition on the holy mountain. The Japanese, South Korean and Australian Expeditions had conquered the mountain.
Manaslu climb offers a camping trip in the Budhi Gandaki River Valley. The first Nepalese Urkien Tshering Sherpa had climbed the peak on 22 April 1973. You can explore the 33 species of mammal such as snow leopard, musk deer, Himalayan Tahr, blue sheep, 110 species of birds include pheasant, Tibetan snowcock, 11 species of butterfly, 3 species of reptile, 2000 species of plant and 11 types of forest in the Manaslu Conservation Area.
