Nepali date based in the Lunar Calendar for a festival and religious decision with the Bikram Sambat (BS) in Nepal. > Khajjuek Sambat is 70 years ahead of Lunar Calendar and 127 years ahead of English Calendar. Tibetan New Year falls in February.
> Buddhist calendar is 544 years ahead with English Calendar (Buddha was born in 623 BC) and 487 years ahead with the Lunar Calendar.
Nepali time remains 5 hours 45 minutes ahead of Greenwich Mean Time (GMT) fixed by Mount Gaurishankar (7145 m) with 86° 15' east longitude located in Dolakha district. Nepal government implemented the decision on 13 April 1985.
