Tamur River rafting

Tamur River rafting is an adventure 9-day trip that has class 4 and 5 Grade rapids. It is located eastern Nepal. The sixth largest river flows down from the third world highest mountain Kanchenjunga. The rafting put-in point is Dovan that is the confluence of the two rivers. The river tour ends at Chatara. After the trip, one can visit Chitwan National Park or back to Kathmandu.

Tamur River rafting offers 4-day trekking. Fly from Kathmandu to Biratnagar then, drive to Basantapur. Hike to Chauki (2700 m), Gaurja Gaon (2000 m) and Dovan (640 m). Start your raft there. The views of Mt. Makalu, Mt. Everest and Mt Kanchenjunga are beautiful. Next option is flying from Kathmandu to Suketar and hike to Dovan. The best time to raft is mid-October and mid-November.
