Cho Oyu climb

Cho Oyu climb is an adventure to the sixth highest mountain (8201m) in the world that is located in northeastern Nepal. The mountain translates ‘Turquoise Goddess’ in the Tibetan language. It lies 20 km west of Everest to the border of Nepal and China (Tibet). The Austrian Expedition led by Herber Tichy and Joseph Jochler first climbed the peak via the northwest ridge on October 19, 1954.

Cho Oyu climb is interesting that is the part of Greater Himalaya. It lies in the Mahalangur Himal. The first Nepalese Ang Phuri Sherpa climbed on April 29, 1987. Walk minimum 8 days hiking after Kathmandu-Lukla flight to reach the base camp via Namche Bazaar and Gokyo Valley. Dyhrenfurth and Shipton first measured the mountain. Gokyo RI (5350 m) is the best viewpoint to observe the peak. Explore the wildlife in Sagarmatha National Park, including musk deer, snow leopard, Himalayan Tahr, mountain pheasant and alpine plants before the climbing.

Cho Oyu climb can approach Tibet (China) and Nepal. The Austrian, British, Indian and German Expedition conquered the mountain. Some of them died on the expedition. We walk through the UNESCO heritage site by exploring the Sherpa settlement, Buddhist culture, and mountain lifestyle before the climbing. There are five beautiful lakes around the Gokyo Valley. Yeti was murdered one herding woman between Mong La and Dole in 1998, which is the way you have to follow the destination. Contact us for the expedition experience.
